For the second year in a row, according to a news release, the well-known legal guide recognized Sunstein as being among the top firms in Massachusetts for intellectual property (IP) law. Additionally, firm partner and litigation chair Tittemore earned inaugural recognition among the state’s top IP practitioners.

The 2024 guide says that Sunstein has “impressive experience advising clients on patent and trademark prosecution, enforcement and general portfolio management,” and the description also highlighted the firm’s “notable expertise in life sciences and technology industry mandates.” One firm client remarked during the research process that Sunstein “learns, engages, listens and then works with our team to identify the best path forward." Another shared that the “willingness of the Sunstein team to engage in the details of complex technology and nuance is unique.” Additionally, one of Tittemore’s clients commented that she is “a problem-solver.”

The Chambers USA Intellectual Property category covers disputes related to patent, copyright and trademark infringement; trade secrets; and non-contentious issues such as licensing and patent prosecution.

Chambers identifies and ranks leading firms and practitioners for its annual guides based on firsthand, in-depth research and interviews with in-house counsel and third-party experts. Chambers assesses technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence and commitment. The guides date back to 1990 and rank firms of all sizes, from boutique to global.
