UPDATED July 4: Cinema fans can easily find out what films are showing at the Capitol Theatre, in East Arlington. For instance, its website says that on view Monday, May 20, were the films "The Quiet Place: Day One" "The Bikeriders" "Babes," "Inside Out 2" both a regular showing and a 3D showing and "Despicable Me 4."

However, the schedule often will change, so viewing this website page and putting the desired date into the dialogue box, or calling ahead, is advised: 781-648-4340.

Film fans can check the website any time for screening times and other information. General manager Jamie Mattchen says new movies at the theater generally premiere on Fridays, with occasional Thursday or Wednesday evening screenings in the event of a holiday. New schedules for upcoming showings are routinely posted to the site Tuesday evenings, with some larger films advertised in advance for early ticket purchasing.

The theater has announced its "Summer Savings" promotion has began and Tuesday showings are to be priced at $7 for the public and $5 for Capitol members. Learn more here >>
